Experience Vocal Camp at the Oregon Coast!
Come and sing in a contemporary a cappella ensemble at Voices At The Coast summer camp. Participants will experience master classes, performance skill-building in ensembles, and have fun creating musical performances for a live audience!
Voices at the Coast is a summer day camp experience for teens, providing the opportunity to sing in contemporary a cappella ensembles. Sponsored by the Central Coast Chorale, a Newport-based community choir and non-profit charitable organization, the camp aims to give students currently in grades 8-12 a singing opportunity not typically available in schools. The small group setting allows participants to work closely with professionals, experiment and perform with other student vocalists, and develop musical skills for future singing experiences.
The camp will be held in Newport, Oregon on the campus of the Oregon Coast Community College in mid July, 2019. We will announce specific dates as soon as possible. The camp will be three full days of workshops and rehearsals with a concert open to the public on the final evening.
Our directors for 2019 are Cate and Jason Caffarella, active music educators in the Albany area. They will coach participants in vocal technique, enhancing harmonic abilities, exploring a cappella music, and preparing for the live performance on the final day of camp.
SCHEDULE: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, 9:00 AM – 4:30 pm each day
LOCATION: Oregon Coast Community College, Newport, OR
FINAL CONCERT: Saturday at 6:00 pm
COST: $95 (includes lunches and t-shirt)
